Community Rules

1.    Purpose

This community aims to connect shoemakers and shoemaking enthusiasts around the world—from beginners to experts—by sharing knowledge and techniques related to shoemaking.
These rules are established to maintain a healthy and safe communication environment.

 

2.    Basic Rules

Mutual Respect: Participants must respect one another and communicate with courtesy.
No Discrimination: Discriminatory or prejudiced expressions based on gender, nationality, age, religion, or skill level are prohibited.
No Disruptive Behavior: Attacks, provocations, or actions that disturb the chat environment are prohibited.
Accuracy of Information: Do not deliberately share false or uncertain information.
Confidentiality: Unauthorized sharing or reproduction of content on external social media, recording or distributing video data, or violating usage restrictions based on contract conditions is prohibited.

 

3.    Participation Eligibility

All subscribers to the community service are eligible to participate in The Shoemakers Guild.
Video lessons supervised by So Tsuchiya are also made available for free.
Repeated rule violations may result in temporary or permanent suspension of membership by the admin team.
(Depending on the severity, the team may issue a warning, temporarily suspend access, or terminate membership immediately.)

Content and feature access may vary depending on each participant’s contract terms.
For additional content under specific contract conditions (e.g., 3-year or 5-year terms), cancellation is not allowed until the contract is fulfilled.

 

4.    Chat Room Rules

    •    Skill-Level-Based Chat Rooms: Divided into beginner, intermediate, and advanced groups.

  Share information appropriate for your level.
   •    Q&A Guidelines: Ask specific questions and express appreciation to those who respond.
   •    Correct errors in responses calmly.
   •    General Chat Rooms: Feel free to engage in off-topic discussions, as long as mutual respect is maintained.

 

5.    Role of the Admin Team

    •    Moderation: The admin team will respond promptly to any rule violations.
   •    Skill Certification: The organizer will assess and certify participants’ skill levels

  and may grant teaching privileges upon request.
   •    Conflict Resolution: In case of disputes, the team will respond swiftly and fairly based on participant reports.

  Temporary suspension from chat rooms may be enforced if necessary.

 

6.    Guidelines for Preventing Issues

Reporting Procedure: If a problem is discovered, report it directly to the admin team with detailed information and supporting evidence such as screenshots.
   •    Minor issues: Warning issued
   •    Potential operational disruption: Temporary suspension of service
   •    Serious violations: Membership termination

 

7.    Prohibited Actions

    •    Posting ads or spam
   •    Sharing inappropriate images or videos
   •    Unauthorized sharing of screenshots or recordings
   •    Harassment or defamation of others
   •    Disregarding instructions from the admin team
   •    Behavior deemed socially unacceptable
   •    Falsifying contract conditions
   •    Attempting to cancel or bypass access restrictions during contract periods
   •    Unauthorized sharing of screenshots or recordings (repeated)
   •    Saving, using, or distributing paid content in violation of contract conditions
   •    Any other actions deemed inconsistent with the community’s purpose

 

8.    Other Provisions

    •    These rules may be updated as the community evolves or based on its needs.
  (All members will be notified of changes.)
   •    Disclaimer: The admin team assumes no responsibility for any damages arising from interactions

  or information shared within the community.
   •    Paid content is intended for use during the active membership period. After withdrawal,

  content is generally inaccessible, but continued access may be granted upon payment of the price difference.

  Please refer to the Terms of Use for details.
   •    Participants must fully understand and agree to any usage restrictions tied

  to specific contract conditions (e.g., fixed contract terms) before purchasing.

  Cancellations or refunds will not be granted midway through such terms.

10.    Appendix: Skill Level Certification Standards

Beginner: Currently learning basic shoemaking knowledge. All new members begin at this level by default (*).
Intermediate: Judged to have mastered the foundational skills covered in the beginner-level videos.
Advanced: Judged to have mastered the foundational skills covered in the intermediate-level videos.
Meister: Special certification granted by So Tsuchiya to selected advanced users.
 (Eligible Meisters may be granted mentoring privileges within the community.)
   •    Depending on experience at the time of registration, some users may start at the intermediate

  or advanced level as determined by the admin team.
