Terms and Conditions
These Terms (hereinafter referred to as “these Terms”) set forth the fundamental conditions of the contractual relationship between So Tsuchiya (hereinafter referred to as “the Operator”), who provides and manages the online community “The Shoemakers Guild” (hereinafter referred to as “the Community”), and all individuals who use the services of the Community (hereinafter referred to as “Users”).
Article 1 (Purpose)
These Terms establish the basic conditions for the provision and use of the Community’s services, aiming to ensure a safe and fair environment for all Users.
Article 2 (Scope of Application)
These Terms apply to all services provided by the Operator.
If separate documents such as Terms of Use, Privacy Policy, or Community Rulebooks are provided, they are to be interpreted in accordance with these Terms and shall be regarded as supplementary documents.
Article 3 (Service Contents)
The Community is organized for the following purposes:
• Providing a space for interaction and exchange among members
• Offering and selling educational content for beginners through advanced users
*Note: Content purchased at member prices is viewable only while membership is active. After withdrawal, continued access is not permitted. However, if the User pays the difference between the member and non-member price, continued access may be granted.
• Q&A and technical support by professional shoemakers
• Sales support through matching shoemakers with prospective buyers
Article 4 (Eligible Users)
The Service is open to all individuals and organizations with an interest in shoemaking, regardless of profession, age, nationality, etc.
Article 5 (Formation of Contract)
Users must agree to the Terms of Use and submit a registration request. The contract is considered effective upon approval by the Operator.
For the paid plan (¥3,000/month), payment must be completed via the method specified separately.
Article 6 (Intellectual Property and Content Handling)
Copyright for any content (images, text, technical information, etc.) posted or provided by Users belongs to the User.
The Operator may use such content on the web or in promotions only with the User’s explicit permission.
Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, or resale of paid or exclusive content is strictly prohibited.
Content purchased at a member price is viewable only during active membership. After withdrawal, Users may continue to access the content by paying the difference between the member and non-member price.
Article 7 (Contract Period, Cancellation, and Withdrawal)
The paid plan is a monthly auto-renewing subscription. There is no minimum commitment period, and Users may cancel at any time.
No refunds are provided for any portion of the already-paid subscription period.
However, content purchased at member prices becomes inaccessible upon withdrawal.
If the User wishes to continue viewing content after cancellation, they must pay the price difference based on a non-member price of ¥120,000.
Examples:
• Purchased at ¥60,000 → Pay additional ¥60,000 after withdrawal
• Purchased at ¥10,000 under a 3-year term → Pay additional ¥10,000 after withdrawal
• Purchased under a 5-year term → Continued access remains free
Additionally, specific paid content (e.g., Pattern-Making, Last-Making modules) may be offered at discounted or free rates based on a fixed contract term.
Users who choose such terms may not cancel during the designated period calculated from the registration date.
Article 8 (Forced Withdrawal)
The Operator may terminate a User’s contract without notice under the following conditions:
• Violation of these Terms or other rules
• Severe defamation, business interference, or information leakage
• False information provided during registration
• Payment delays or inability to pay
• No response to Operator communications for a certain period
• Inactivity for a prolonged period
• Any other behavior deemed inappropriate by the Operator
Article 9 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan.
In the event of any disputes regarding the use of the Community, the Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction as the court of first instance.
Article 10 (Revisions)
The Operator may revise these Terms as necessary and will promptly notify Users of any changes.
